“Just wanted to notify you of a recent capture of a fish having just returned from a family holiday in Mexico. Your S-Mid rods was put to the test a few times during some short fishing sessions while I was away. I was very much determined to fish on my own terms from the shore within my resort as I find this far more rewarding than any excursion where there is usually a catch + kill mentality. JAMES SAUNDERS – Fish Rig 180 - Singapore
“I just got back from a month trip with my family in Singapore, Australia, Bali and took the Fish Rig 180 with me. It was a blast! Caught 4 new species all from beaches: Sea Bream, Wrasse, Longtom and Coral Grouper. The case made it super easy to transport in my suitcase. Then whilst travelling I had it in the side of my backpack” Keep fishing James.
ANGUS BREWSTER – 2-IN-1 Fly - Mongolia
“A month or so back I emailed you regarding my trip to China and Mongolia. Currently I’m on my final day in Hong Kong before heading to Kashgar in the Xinjiang Provence China. (not sure if much fishing will be done there given most of it is a desert!) However, Sichuan is next which does host both lenok trout and largemouth bass I believe. I’ve still got your rod handy and managed to take its ‘Fish Virginity’ with some nice largemouth bass when I left Nairobi a few weeks ago. I hope to do some proper fishing in the next coming months in Mongolia and China and will keep you updated with some fish images (With the rod in frame of course!)”. Best Angus

“I bought your S Max travel rod almost a year ago, but this is the first time I managed to test it out, with this 40kg Mekong catfish. It took me 30 minutes to bring it in after it swam from one end of the lake to the other. An epic battle, but ultimately no match for the powerful “S Max”. It was caught on a simple bread piece. I now have 110% confidence in this rod, and it is now my go to travel fishing companion” Best Peter

Two South Lakes locals, Danny and Sarah have recently started their own YouTube channel The Lake District Fishing. This fantastic brown trout couldn’t be more local. Caught is the river Kent, Free Fishing Stretch in the centre of Kendal. Just ½ a mile downstream from our office!
AND FINALLY – ANDREW DOWNEY – Killington Reservoir – Predator Max
That smile is priceless! A great friend to Rigged and Ready, Andrew caught this Killington Reservoir pike on the predator Max. Andrew was the first angler to ever land and unhook a fish on the new Travel Mat Max. He is currently building the Rigged and Ready showroom at the office! Is it a monster? No… Does fishing give us all unforgettable moments? Certainly yes!
