COMPACT OR  PORTABLE TRAVEL RODS

If you need a true travel rod that fits inside your backpack, or plane carry on bag, then you have to choose from the X5 Series or Smuggler 7, 6 & 5 Series. 

 

2. PORTABLE ROD FITS A SUITCASE, CAR BOOT, BAG, OUTSIDE A BACKPACK. 

Under 65 cm 24'

You need something to pack away in your car or suitcase, then the Smuggler Max, Predator or Fish Rig Telescopic rods are a very portable size, but not super compact.  

 

1. COMPACT ROD OPTIONS

a) COMPACT ROD & WANT TO SPIN, BAIT, BAIT-CAST OR FLY FISH?.

The X5 rods have a reversible handle, and hybrid rod eyes, to allow all these fishing styles. They are multi-purpose, with 4 fishing tips. The X5 Max, has a little more power and the X5 Adventure more finesse. Yes all those tips and extra handle parts add complication and a little weight to the rod package in its tube.

b) COMPACT ROD & WANT TO SPIN AND BAIT FISH?

Then it's the Smuggler 7, 6 or 5. The 7 being the stronger rod and the 5 the super light, but powerful, sneaky rod. They all have 2 tips and single butt, so less parts. It's up to you what you prefer.

 

2. PORTABLE ROD OPTIONS

a) PORTABLE ROD & WANT TO CATCH BIG FISH?

The Smuggler Max for you to cast big baits or lures for big fresh and seawater fish.

b) PORTABLE ROD TO SPIN OR BAIT-CAST FISHING? 

It is the Predator or Fish Rig Max, which are the only rods to have a micro-trigger handle to work perfectly for Spin and Bait-Cast Fishing. They have different tip options for different casting weights. If you prefer or don't prefer telescopic rods, then thats your decision to make.
