TRAVEL RODCAST 22

TRAVEL RODCAST 22

Let's take a look at some of the biggest, best and most exciting catches on Rigged and Ready rods over spring and early summer! Predator fishing is constantly growing in popularity, and there's always a big feeding window in spring when the water temperature starts to rise. It's no surprise we've seen some fantastic fish caught over the last few months, especially that big perch from the Swedish wilderness!

After a slow winter, the carp also wake up at this time of year and we've seen some brilliant specimens caught, especially on our brand new 'S Mid Carp'! The river season also began in June, and it was great to see an early season barbel on the bank!

With trout season getting properly underway in march, they're one of the most popular fish to target in spring! Plenty have been caught on Rigged and Ready travel rods all over the country, but it's particularly exciting to see some lake district fish caught. Especially in the mountains!

Plenty of sea fishing has been done too, but interestingly, there hasn't been as much species variety as we'd expect! There has been some fantastic bass caught though, especially the beast in the top left. It's always interesting to see a few flatfish landed, and on some very unlikely fishing rods/methods!

By now you may have heard the Rigged and Ready team travelled to France for a bass fishing competition. Here are some of the highlights, but if you haven't watched the video yet you should definitely check it out by clicking here!

One of the best things about selling compact rods is seeing the variety of international fish that get caught. Whether that be from people taking their rod on holiday, or that word has spread about us globally! Over the last few months we've seen everything from monster European catfish to wild American trout, and everything in-between!

With these species being so popular, and so many people catching nice fish, it was impossible to condense it into just four! So here are some more quality pike and perch that were caught over the spring/early summer. Fantastic!
