SCOTTISH SHARKS, HUGE WILD TROUT AND A BIG FISH CAUGHT ON A PADDLEBOARD!

TRAVEL RODCAST 17

Welcome back to the Rigged and Ready TRAVEL RODCAST where we will be bringing you all the best and most interesting captures from June 2023! This month is mostly associated with the start of river fishing season, but as the weather warms up we are seeing more variety than ever caught by our customers!

First things first, in June we saw founder Andy Rigg out fishing on windermere with George Lamb (Adventure Fishing UK), Neil (South Lakeland Angling Centre) and Nathan (Outdoor Vibe). Plenty of fish to the boat, and a couple of fish lost. They even managed a 'Rigged and Ready double up', with George catching his on the Fish Rig 180 and Andy catching his on the Infinite mini. Click HERE to watch the video!

As we've come to expect, Martin from Vildmark.co.uk has also been out catching fish in June. In quite spectacular fashion we might add! Check out this spurdog caught on the S Max while camping in Scotland.

On the topic of fishing adventures, (@joehunter_outdoors) has been back out fishing and hiking in the mountains! This time armed with the Infinite Ultimate, one rod and a whopping 25 fishing combinations! Next up we have an absolutely amazing trout, caught by (@welshwildtroutfishing) on our smuggler 6 - a 2-in-1 spin travel fishing rod. What a belter!

As we've seen from what you've all been sending in, many of you have been saltwater fishing in June. There's a couple of captures that really caught our eye though! Especially this one, an absolute beast of a ballan wrasse caught while out on a paddle board. Using the Fish Rig 180, that must have put a great bend in the rod! Telescopics definitely require an extra element of care, so here are some handy tips to avoid damaging your rod!

We offer the best guarantee in fishing, which means you are covered even for user error. However, it's much easier to avoid any issues in the first place. This prevents a fishing trip from being cut short, or having to wait in for a delivery! @welshwildtroutfishing also managed some really impressive sea fish this June, including a sole on his S Max

Another sea caught fish, this time from over in Japan! Harry from 'Bang Average Fishing' is still on his travels, and landed this beauty from the shore. What a back-drop too! For this kind of fishing he likes to use both the Fish Rig 180 and the Infinite Ultimate

On the topic of none-uk fish, it's the time of year our French friends make us extremely jealous by catching these beautiful black bass. This one was caught on our Smuggler 5 by @matt_trekking_fisher.

Now it wouldn't be a Travel Rodcast without a mention of a pike. Pike fishing is incredibly popular in the UK, and for good reason! This beautiful fish was caught by @guardiansun07 on the Fish Rig Max. For those that haven't heard about this rod, it's the longer more powerful 'big brother' of the popular Fish Rig 180!

It's not all about the predators though, and we know many of you also love your coarse fishing. Frank Green recently caught this decent bream on a short one hour session before work, what a great result! Landed on out Travel Unhooking mat too, a fantastic tool to keep the fish you catch safe.

Thanks for reading this months social media roundup, we appreciate you joining us! Don't forget, keep sending in your pictures via email and Instagram for a chance to feature. Tight lines!
