 SPIN-FLY-BAIT TRAVEL FISHING ROD



The X5 Adventure is a super compact, multi-functional spin and fly travel fishing rod. It has 4 tips and cast weights delivering 5 different fishing options. It is the perfect travel rod, for all-round fishing, to Go Anywhere and Fish Everywhere, ensuring you never miss a chance to fish. 


It is one the X5 Series of travel fishing rods, all of which can interchange between spin, fly and bait fishing. It has a carbon, Zylon (stronger than Kevlar and used by NASA), and hi-glass rod blank with super strong, unbreakable solid fibreglass rod tips. 
 


The multi-section rod fits a rugged cordura case, that measures only 43cm, just under 17’, easily fitting rucksacks, flight baggage, campervans, motorbike side panniers and all sorts of compact travel storage. This makes it the ideal rod for holidays, business trips or any spontaneous fishing opportunity. THE X5 SECRETS

  • SRF Rod Blank. Unique strong, but flexible, rod blank blend of carbon, graphite, Zylon, pbo fibre and hi-glass
  • Parabola Joints. Handmade, small male > large female rod joints, for strength, flexibility, deliver perfect rod bend & action
  • Switch Handles. Screw together and reverse to have perfect “traditional rod” balance, plus offer spin or fly fishing from one rod
  • Interchange Tips. Deliver different multi-function cast weights from one rod
  • Compacts into a 43cm cordura tube, for airline carry-on luggage, car, bike, or rucksacks.

5 ROD COMBINATIONS

  1. Spinning rod 2.1m (6’ 9”), cast weights 0-20g
  2. Spinning rod 1.8m (6’), cast weights from 0 to 40g 
  3. Quiver/Feeder rod 2.1m (6’9”), with cast weights from 0-15g
  4. Feeder rod 1.8m (6’), with cast weights from 0-40g
  5. Fly rod 2.1m (6’9”), mid-weight 4-5 action.


ROD SET UP & PROTECTION

Assembling any rod properly and carefully, extends its life.


  • Put the rod sections in size order from handle to tip.
  • Bring the size matching male and female ferrules together carefully.
  • Starting at the handle firmly push the ferrules together, twisting the rod sections clockwise and anticlockwise to lock them together. Do this using gentle pressure, until the female section will not go further.
  • Line up the guides on the rod, twisting the rod sections clockwise and anticlockwise gently, so the line can now travel smoothly along the guides.
  • To take apart, reverse the process. 
  • Store in a soft rod bag within a rod tube.

SWITCH HANDLE

The handle of the rod is reversible, so the rod can be set up as a spin and bait fishing rod, or as a fly rod. All 3 parts of the handle screw together providing great fishing balance

INTERCHANGE TIPS
